The demonstration called by former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo (SP) saw a significant turnout. It is estimated that around 55,000 people attended the political event. This week, the Special Committee is expected to be set up to analyze the bill that exempts individuals earning up to R$5,000 per month from income tax. The rapporteur will be Deputy Arthur Lira (PP-AL). The Federal Senate may vote this week on Complementary Bill (PLP No. 164/22) concerning persistent tax debtors. The bill establishes general rules for identifying and monitoring habitual offenders.
