Finance Minister Fernando Haddad has reportedly been persuaded to run for governor of São Paulo in October. His departure from the ministry is expected to take place next week. Senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE) yesterday filed a request to establish a Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPI) to investigate the relationship between Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justices Alexandre de Moraes and Dias Toffoli and Banco Master. According to Vieira, 35 senators have already signed the request. The agenda of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) also includes the continuation of a Judicial Electoral Investigation Action (AIJE) against Rio de Janeiro Governor Cláudio Castro (PL), accused of hiring thousands of temporary employees through the Ceperj Foundation for electoral purposes during the 2022 campaign.
