Hugo Motta, President of the House, will meet on Tuesday (July 7) with representatives of the Parliamentary Agricultural Front (FPA) to discuss the proposal addressing rural debt (Bill No. 5,122/23). The economic team opposes the bill, which has already been approved by the Senate, due to its fiscal impact, estimated at R$ 140 billion over ten years. The Senate may vote this week on Provisional Measure (MP) No. 1,343/26, which strengthens enforcement of Brazil's minimum freight rate policy for road cargo transportation. The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) will hold a public hearing today (July 6) and tomorrow (July 7) to hear testimony from American and Brazilian organizations regarding its investigation into Brazilian trade practices deemed "unreasonable" by the United States.
