Former President Jair Bolsonaro’s defense team asked Justice Alexandre de Moraes to reconsider his decision barring Senator Flávio Bolsonaro from visiting his father for 90 days. The attorneys argue that the restriction is “disproportionate” and “excessive”. President Lula has finally managed to establish a viable political platform in Minas Gerais, a key electoral state. Following the announcement of Federal Deputy Patrus Ananias (PT-MG) as the Workers’ Party candidate for governor, State Party Chair and State Deputy Leninha (PT-MG) said the party remains in talks with the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB) to build the remainder of the ticket. Supreme Federal Court Justice Flávio Dino forwarded to the Federal Police the responses submitted by the presidents of the Liberal Party, Valdemar da Costa Neto, and the Social Democratic Party, Gilberto Kassab, regarding the possible involvement of party leaders in directing congressional earmarks.
