Justice Kassio Nunes Marques has given the Office of the Prosecutor General (PGR) twenty days to issue an opinion on former President Jair Bolsonaro’s request for a criminal review of the 27-year-and-three-month prison sentence imposed on him in the criminal case related to the attempted coup d’état. Brazil’s Lower House approved, in two rounds of voting, the proposed constitutional amendment (PEC) establishing a 40-hour workweek spread over five days with two days of rest, effectively ending the current “6x1” schedule model (six days worked and one day off, totaling 44 weekly hours). A new Canal Meio presidential poll was released today. In the first-round scenario, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has 38.5% of voting intentions, while Senator Flávio Bolsonaro appears with 31.5%. Goiás Governor Ronaldo Caiado has 5.5%, and Minas Gerais Governor Romeu Zema has 2.4%.
