Following reports that Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Dias Toffoli may have benefited from payments made by banker Daniel Vorcaro, he has stepped down as rapporteur of the Banco Master case. Justice André Mendonça has been appointed as the new rapporteur. Yesterday, the Paraná Institute also released a poll on the presidential race in the state of São Paulo. The poll indicates that among São Paulo voters, President Lula would lose in a runoff to Flávio Bolsonaro, Tarcísio de Freitas, and Ratinho Júnior. The Supreme Court justices begin virtual plenary review of a request to extend the deadline for companies to approve dividend distributions without income tax withholding.
