Between Monday and Tuesday, three opinion polls were released. The Nexus/BTG, Apex/Futura, and CNT/MDA polls converge on one central point: the presidential election remains polarized between Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro, with both holding a wide lead over the other candidates. Today, the Lower House may vote on PLP 114, which reduces taxes on fuels and includes provisions related to the Fertilizer Industry Development Program (Profert), critical minerals, and the advance transfer of revenues to the Ministry of Defense. President Lula will sign four decrees implementing policies for the electricity and fuels sectors. They cover the expansion of the free electricity market to low-voltage consumers; regulations governing the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel; geological CO2 capture and storage; and implementation of the legal framework for low-carbon hydrogen production.
