Rescue efforts conclude for victims of Jet Set tragedy

Yesterday, Dominican authorities included the rescue operations for the victims of the roof collapse at the Jet Set nightclub, an iconic entertainment venue in Santo Domingo. This tragedy, unrelated to any natural disaster,  ranks among the most devastating in the country’s history, with 221 confirmed fatalities and 189 injured. The government has ordered the establishment of a team of national and international experts to carry out a technical investigation into the causes of the collapse. The aim is to strengthen safety standards and prevent similar incidents in the future.
