The fact that the opposition managed to gather enough signatures to bring the urgent status request for the Amnesty Bill to a vote in the House plenary has caused friction between the government and its allied base. This is because 146 members from allied parties signed the request. The government is working to persuade some lawmakers to withdraw their signatures. Yesterday, the government sent the Budget Guidelines Bill (PLDO) to the National Congress. The text sets the minimum wage at R$ 1,630 for next year. As expected, the economic team also maintained the primary surplus target at 0.25% of GDP for 2026, with a tolerance margin of 0.25 percentage points. Also scheduled for today is the Petrobras Annual General Meeting (AGO), which is expected to reappoint the Secretary of Oil, Natural Gas, and Biofuels of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Pietro Mendes, as Chairman of the company's Board of Directors.
