Yesterday, the House approved the People’s Gas Provisional Measure. Considered an important initiative for the government, Provisional Measure No. 1,313/25 establishes the People’s Gas Program, aimed at expanding access to cooking gas in Brazil. In its message to Congress, the Executive Branch also listed its priorities, including a proposal on the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) and export credit (Bill No. 6,139/2023), the circular economy (Bill No. 5,662/2025), recycling (Constitutional Amendment Proposal No. 34/2025), and measures to counter the so-called “tariff shock” (Supplementary Bill No. 168/2025). Supreme Court Chief Justice Edson Fachin also outlined issues that will be included on the Court’s agenda. These include the use of social media by members of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, as well as other issues.
