The Lower House is expected to vote this week on an urgent status request for the bill establishing a Tax Regime for Data Centers (Redata), which would create tax incentives for the construction of data centers in Brazil. Four new presidential voting polls are scheduled for release this week. The expected scenario mirrors recent data: (1) a polarized race between President Lula (PT) and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL–RJ); (2) no candidate currently threatening either of their positions; and (3) Lula leading in most simulations. On Wednesday, February 11, the Supreme Federal Court (STF) may review the Claim of Noncompliance with a Fundamental Precept (ADPF No. 1,183) challenging the Federal Audit Court’s (TCU) creation of the Secretariat for External Control of Consensual Resolution and Conflict Prevention (SecexConsenso).
