Another presidential succession poll was released yesterday. Conducted by Canal Meio/Ideia Big Data, the poll showed little change compared to previous polls, with President Lula and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) remaining well ahead of the other prospective candidates. Today, President Lula will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump. Several ministers are accompanying Lula, including Finance Minister Dario Durigan. Lula and Trump are expected to discuss issues such as tariffs on Brazilian exports, the war against Iran, the activities of criminal organizations in Latin America, and the exploitation of critical minerals. Yesterday, the Lower House approved a bill establishing the National Policy on Critical and Strategic Minerals (PNMCE), which includes government incentives for processing and transformation projects carried out domestically.
