The Lower House begins analysis of the government’s fiscal package, the rapporteur of the Tax Reform bill may submit a draft of his report, and the Senate begins analysis of the appointments to the Central Bank
The fiscal package measures announced by the government last week begin to be discussed in the Lower House this week. Last Friday, November 29, the government leader in the House, José Guimarães (PT-CE), presented a complementary bill (PLP No. 210/24) and an ordinary bill (PL No. 4,614/24) for their implementation. On Tuesday, December 3, Senator Eduardo Braga (MDB-AM), rapporteur for the bill on the regulation of Tax Reform (PLP No. 68/24), may meet with Finance Minister Fernando Haddad to present a draft of his report. The following day, Braga may read his report in the Committee on Constitution and Justice (CCJ). In the Senate, appointments for the Central Bank will begin their analysis. Last Friday, the government announced that Nilton David will replace the institution’s future president, Gabriel Galípolo, as the Monetary Policy Director.
