On Tuesday, Congressman José Guimarães (PT-CE) will be sworn in as Minister of the Secretariat for Institutional Relations. As a result, Congressman Paulo Pimenta (PT-RS) is expected to take over as the government’s leader in the Lower House. On Wednesday (April 15), Congressman Paulo Azi (União-BA), rapporteur of proposals to end the 6x1 work schedule, will present his report before the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJC). The CCJC is responsible for assessing admissibility—that is, determining the constitutionality of the proposals. Also this week, the Lower House will decide who will fill the seat on the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) left vacant by Aroldo Cedraz, who retired compulsorily in February upon reaching the age of 75.
