The First Panel of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) is scheduled to hear today the criminal case involving former Congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL) and political commentator Paulo Figueiredo. The investigation stems from public statements and social media posts in which Eduardo Bolsonaro claimed to be working to persuade the U.S. government to impose sanctions on STF justices and members of the Office of the Prosecutor General (PGR) and the Federal Police. Prosecutor General Paulo Gonet rejected a second plea bargain proposal submitted by banker Daniel Vorcaro, only days after the Federal Police also dismissed a cooperation agreement with the owner of Banco Master. Congressman Zé Trovão (PL-SC), rapporteur of the Freight Transportation Provisional Measure (MP 1,343/26), presented his report yesterday. The report’s main change is the elimination of the fixed fine of up to BRL 10 million for violations of ANTT’s minimum freight rate table.
