GlobalSource Partners’ Israel Country Analyst Sani Ziv is one of the most highly respected economists in Israel today. He is renowned for his in-depth research as well as his modeling and forecasting skills, all of which he has brought to private sector firms as well as multilateral organizations.

Based in Tel Aviv, Mr. Ziv is also the founder of Macro Analytics, an economic research and consulting firm. In addition, he is a senior researcher at the Aaron Institute for Economic Policy of Reichman University, collaborating on policy papers and contributing to national and international discussions on economic trends and policy.

Mr. Ziv’s research has included the construction and compilation of an Israeli macroeconomic model, as well as in-depth research on topics such as market pricing and inflation, the social value of public health care, industry-specific issues including in real estate and manufacturing, and research into conceptual issues of the Israeli economy. Mr. Ziv has extensive experience in forecasting and model-building with major Israeli think tanks such as Economic Models, where his work has included building national electricity demand models, construction sector forecast models, and feasibility studies for large economic projects. He has been a national consultant to the UNESCO Network of Mediterranean Youth Project and the Youth Employment in the Mediterranean Project, producing a comprehensive methodological approach for developing forecasting models in Israel.

Mr. Ziv holds a BA in economics and history from Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, and an MA (with honors) in economics, also from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
